The Undergraduate Teaching Assistant (UTA) Program for the Academic and Professional Writing Programs at the University of College Park was initiated by Director Linda Macri in the spring of 2012.
Below are testimonies from students and instructors about working with UTAs in the writing classroom. I've also compiled a Working Bibliography of peer-reviewed articles. Most of these have to do with UTAs in other disciplines, yet their findings are applicable to writing classrooms, as well. Finally, I include links to additional resources about working with UTAs.
